youth education.

The MindShift Foundation is dedicated to raising the self-worth of all young people across Australia.

The Glass Half Full Campaign for Schools is our first program for students. Launched at Parliament House in Brisbane, July 2014, our pilot program has just come to end and as a result, we’re proud to offer the Self-Worth Teachers Toolkit (or SWTT) for educators and schools across Australia.

We are offering the core modules of the Self-Worth Teachers Toolkit for students in Year 7 & 8 by donation only because we believe there is a real need for high school students to have a better understanding of their own self-worth. We know that with healthy self-worth, a young person has better coping skills, stronger personal resilience and the skills to maintain positive mental health.

The Self-Worth Teachers Toolkit is a flexible schools-tested program that focuses on developing self-worth in junior secondary students. Delivered in a series of weekly core and elective modules, the SWTT engages with students to develop resilience, enhance coping skills, and build strong and positive social understanding skills. The aim is to empower students to take control of their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing with the long-term goal of reducing the risk of poor mental health in later adolescence and adulthood.

How does it work?

Please email us and let us know your donation amount and we will email you a fully tax deductible donation invoice. Once we receive your donation we will email you the core modules of the Self-Worth Teachers Toolkit.

For ech module, you’ll receive clear lesson notes, a PowerPoint presentation that correlates with the lesson notes, case studies, class handouts and worksheets. Each module comes with a summary of the lesson plan, a checklist of supplied materials and a list of any other materials that need to be provided by the school (usually nothing more than art supplies).

We really appreciate every donation as this helps us to continue our very important work.

If you’d also like the elective modules, we will email you a tax invoice for $995 plus GST and once we’ve received payment, we will email you the elective modules.
